Navigating Island Bureaucracy
Getting packages delivered to your door might feel like a breeze, but as Leading the Escapade learned, it’s a whole different ballgame on a small island like Trinidad. After multiple tries, some good-natured frustration, and a big assist from their new friend Steve, the team finally got their much-needed supplies. Tackling the To-Do List
With the right products in hand, the team began powering through their tasks. Four intense days of hull polishing using TotalBuff and TotalShine transformed the boat into a gleaming reflection of their hard work. Janaye gleefully comments on how well those two products cleaned the hull and shows off a before and after.
Next up was varnishing their new bed base with Gleam, with a pro tip: thinning the first coat of varnish to help it absorb better into the wood. For this, Jason used Special Brushing Thinner 100 to thin the varnish.
The final step was applying Spartan Multi-Season Antifouling paint. Its high-copper formula is tough enough to handle everything from the Caribbean to inland U.S. waterways. And thanks to its fast drying time, they finished multiple coats in just one day.
